Web Browser GUI
The VIP 110-24 Release 2.1.0 Web Interface is a
Graphical User Interface (GUI) that gives you all
the options and functionality for configuring and
monitoring radios in your network as the Command
Line Interface (CLI), but in a familiar point and click
web environment.
DHCP Client The VIP 110-24 can obtain and renew an IP address
automatically through DHCP Client.
VLAN Support VLAN allows the network administrator to plan
and segment a network into multiple Local Area
Networks (LAN).
NTP Request NTP Request enables the VIP 110-24 to set its own
internal clock from NT Packets received over a
wireless RF port.
Security & Login Flexibility VIP 110-24 now supports two different user levels;
“User” and “Supervisor”. The “User” account is
restricted in commands it can execute. VIP Release
2.1.0 also includes a challenge key to recover lost
passwords.
Configuration Files The configuration of each node need not be
programmed through the serial port. Once the
node is attached to the network, a file may be
remotely downloaded to its flash-file-system which
contains all necessary configurations.
Auto-Configuration Scripts Multiple configuration commands can be run on
a node, by downloading a script to the “autorun”
directory of its flash-file-system. The configuration
scrip runs automatically on start-up.

Dynamic Power Control
Every radio, whether it is a Root, Repeater or Leaf
has the ability to assess and compensate for varying
received Radio Frequency (RF) levels at each radio,
so that all the units in your network are operating
optimally.
Priority Transmission Enhanced priority queuing provides three levels of
priority to Ethernet packets traveling through your
VIP network. Packets are placed in priority queues
based on their Type of Service (ToS) and VLAN priority
settings.
Plug-and-Play When Plug-and-Play is enabled, a Leaf's parent is
auto-discovered (via frequency scan). With Plug-and-
Play, Leaf Nodes can be moved freely around within
the network.
Email Alarms VIP Release 2.1.0 supports a number of email alarms.
When the alarm is triggered, an e-mail is sent to the
designated e-mail address.
Runtime & Uptime Clocks The Runtime Clock and Uptime Clocks are timers that
enable you to keep track of your VIP performance
throughout its operational lifetime.
Monitor Auto Acquire Monitor Auto Acquire allows you to monitor the
progress of Auto-Acquire or RF Plug-and-Play.
Monitor Cycle Monitor Cycle reports the polling cycle of a radio's
direct links. Every direct connection that a radio has
in a network—for instance, a parent to a child, a child
to a repeater, or a child to parent—is displayed in the
Monitor Cycle Table.
