Description of Program
EION requires a test engineer to work with verification team working on a hardware/software development project in the area of Wireless. The candidate should have a degree either in Computer science or Science with broad knowledge of Computer systems software, hardware, experience with WiMAX and Wi-Fi technology and background in Chemistry and material science.
The candidate should typically have 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and Lab support, developing test plans, writing and implementing test cases at the unit, functional and system level testing, and background in Chemistry and/or material science for verifying and assisting in various regulatory certification compliance testing. The candidate will work very closely with the design/development team and interact with independent certification lab.
To succeed in this position, you must be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following set of tasks:
- Administer and Support EION IT infrastructure and network which involves Desktop computers, EION Voice and data network, WiMAX/Wi-FI lab, data servers, network security, and data backup restore
- Be a member of WiMax/Wi-Fi verification team to test and verify EION products from customer perspective
- As part of verification team verifies and assist in FCC,ETSI, CE, ROHS regulatory Certification compliances testing
- Interact with independent certification lab to ensure above certification.
Qualifications
- A Degree or diploma in Electrical/Computer engineering, Computer Science, or Science (major in Chemistry or Material science).
- Background in Chemistry and material science must for certification program
Experience
- Computer systems hardware
- Operating systems, specifically all Windows versions and Linux
- Data server technology and administrations
- Networking principles and familiarity with communication protocols including: TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, ICMP, SNMP, RTP, switches, routers, circuit-switched and packet-switched networks, subnets and gateways
- Security administration, VPN, firewall and access configurations
- Experience with WiMAX technology
- Experience with Wi-Fi technology
- Background in Chemistry and material science must
- One requires background and knowledge in Chemistry and material science to understand and evaluate impact of different materials on electromagnetic emissions.
- Background in analyzing chemical compositions of different components used in the product to ensure restricted elements (e.g. lead content) do not exceed the regularity compliance requirements.
