The agreement between the two companies was announced during a trade mission to Cambodia led the honourable Ed Fast, Canada's International Trade Minister and Minister for the Asia Pacific Gateway. “It is always a pleasure to witness Canadian expertise succeed on the world stage. The innovative wireless technology offered by EION is yet another example on how Canadian companies can compete and win in international markets.” said Minister Fast.

The Star4G ecosystem is capable of providing a reliable, end-to-end wireless broadband access solution for residential and business subscribers,” explains Dale Squires, President of EION Wireless. “EMAXX has been a fantastic partner to work with and we look forward to growing our business relationship with them as they drive subscriber adoption and revenue growth.”
“EMAXX is deploying EION’s Star 4G platform - an ultra-high performance data-centric Mobile WiMAX and LTE system. Unlike other platforms on the market that are designed around a cellular voice-centric architecture, Star4G is designed with a data-centric focus for the delivery of voice, video and data services.” said Sean Ngu, CEO of EMAXX Telecom. “This Star4G architecture delivers a high Quality of Experience (QoE) for high definition multimedia mobile services. Star4G can be targeted for mobile TV delivery, high-definition mobile video surveillance and video collaboration and high definition/low-latency mobile gaming applications.”
Star4G based solutions provide the flexibility, scalability and performance necessary to deliver highly competitive and innovative nomadic and mobile broadband triple-play services using LTE and WiMAX. EION equipment is involved in commercial launches, pilots and trials in diverse parts of the world including Russia, Kazakhstan, India, Indonesia, USA, Thailand, Georgia, Nigeria, Tunisia, Kuwait, South Africa, Kenya, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, Mauritius and many more areas. StarMAX systems operate in the 2.3, 2.5, 2.6, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, and 3.7 GHz bands and support WiMAX forum certified CPEs as well as ASN/AAA solutions from third-party vendors.
