Approval from Peruvian Ministry of Transportation and Communication
OTTAWA, Canada – August 09 2011; EION Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of broadband wireless products, today announced LibraPlus 5860 has been granted a certificate of homologation in Peru. The approval given by the general directorate for the control and supervision of communications allows LibraPlus 5860 radios to be operated in the 5.200 GHz to 5.825 GHz frequency band.
LibraPlus 5860 is a high performance point-to-point and point-to-multipoint in broadband wireless system that operates in the 5.x GHz frequency band. LibraPlus 5860 is built on more than a decade of OFDM experience and comes packaged in a rugged, all weather enclosure. With its high spectral efficiency, large capacity, user friendly GUI and rich feature-set, LibraPlus 5860 is the ideal unlicensed wireless solution for rural and metropolitan broadband requirements.
TrustLink™ technology embedded in LibraPlus 5860 uses proprietary polling methods to ensure equitable distribution of traffic to all subscriber stations. The TrustLink system uses intelligence to determine the number of polling cycles every user gets depending on the level of its activity. This way the network resources are not wasted during the polling of inactive users due to no user data transmission. TrustLink can be employed in both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks and dramatically reduces the effects of unwanted interference on the wireless link.
LibraPlus 5860 has been widely used in such diverse applications as wireless video surveillance, internet service provision, military applications, rural broadband delivery and the oil & gas sectors for SCADA and backhaul. A LibraPlus 5860 wireless network is currently being deployed in Ecuador as part of a nation-wide educational network.
