Training Initiative Provides Strategic Value to Customers and Channel Partners
Ottawa, Canada – June 23, 2011 – EION Inc., a manufacturer of broadband wireless products today announced that it has completed a round of LTE & WiMAX Certification as well as product knowledge courses on the LibraPlus and Libra MAX for customers in the Americas, the Middle East and North Africa. EION’s Wireless Engineer Certificate Program provides recognition of successfully completed training courses for professionals in the wireless industry. EION Certification is an excellent tool for career advancement and business differentiation.
During the product knowledge courses the latest features and functionality in the LibraPlus and Libra MAX were showcased. The latest release of the LibraPlus 5860, 10.12 includes upgrades to the interference handling capabilities of the product as well as improvements to the SNMPv2 management which now includes a full suite of traps and alarms. The training courses contained hands-on-training where students could see the features live and were able experience the throughput capabilities of the products.
The training, which took part in different sessions, included students from Nigeria, Uganda, Sudan, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, Mexico, Lebanon and the United States of America. The courses were led by EION’s field applications engineer, Dr. Waleed Hosny. Dr. Hosny is a Research Analyst in Computing and Systems Technologies at the Electronics Research Institute of Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Hosny’s research interest areas are in Wireless Communications and IP Mobility.
A participant in the training, assistant manager Umair Abdul Malik, commented on the WiMAX and LTE Certificate Program, “The training was very informative and helpful for current systems and any future implementation of wireless technologies. The instructor of the training explained the concepts in a very clear and deliverable manner. Through these sessions we have learned a lot about Wimax, LTE and RF planning and the relationship between these technologies.”
