Job Description:
Must have atleast 6+ years of experience in the following:
- Design, develop and integrate IP Routing Software modules.
- Use technologies including IPv4/IPv6 Routing, Multicast, L2 Ethernet Switching, Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Quality of Service (QoS), features over a wide array of LAN and WAN interfaces.
- Design, development and debugging experience in Real Time platforms.
- Experience in porting of software modules to an existing real time platform based software
- Design, development and debugging experience in Real Time Operating Systems, preferably VxWorks.
- Must have independently done design and development of modules in Layer 2 or Layer 3 networking layer.
- Development, Porting and debugging experience in Layer 3 networking protocols (IP, unicast routing protocols like RIP, OSPF, BGP)
- Sound knowledge of enterprise switches and routers and related CLIs
- Unit testing, and black box system testing experience and active support to integration and verification teams
- Excellent technical writing skills. Experienced in writing requirements, design and test documents
- Excellent coding skills in C and development experience using C language
- Good communication and technical documentation skills.
Technical Experience:
- Mandatory protocol work experience: TCP/IP, OSPF v2, BGP, L3 VPN, RIP, ISIS
- Ideal candidate should have direct relevant experience on development of APs using either the Broadcom or Atheros technology.
- Candidates must be highly proficient in C and Linux.
- Ability to use standard version control and release management environments is a must.
- Familiarity with HW development and low level software such as device drivers and BSP is a definite plus.
- Additional experience: Multicast (PIM, DVMRP, IGMP), MPLS (GMPLS, LDP, RSVP, TE extensions)
- Router managment protocols: VRRP, SNMP, PPPOE, DHCP, VLAN and L2 protocols, STP, NAT
- Hardware: Broadcom switches, Passport, MPC variants
- Operating systems: Linux, VxWorks, pSoS+
- Languages: C, C++
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical engineering or Computer Engineering
- Established fundamentals through formal programming language related courses (compiler construction, operating systems, algorithms and discrete mathematics)
